Minori
in the heart of the Amalfi Coast
Minori on the Amalfi Coast, is an enchanting hamlet by the sea, its privileged position and its temperate climate make it the perfect destination to spend the vacations. Strolling through its narrow streets, being overwhelmed by the scent of orange blossoms and the specialties of the local pastry, walking by the sea or diving into the crystal clear water of the Coast give moments of pure relaxation in this small village.
Minori was defined as the ancient “Rheginna Minor”, over the centuries the waters of the Reginna Minor torrent have favoured the rise of flourishing activities, such as mills and paper mills and in the past it was the favourite destination of the privileged classes of the Roman society as a place to stay, as the archaeological villa testifies.
Its strategic position allows to enjoy an intimate and lovely beach, to reach the nearby towns of Maiori, Amalfi at 4 km and Positano at 24 km and it is connected to the other coastal villages by land and sea.

What to visit
Villa Romana
The maritime archaeological villa dating back to the first century AD is a splendid example of the building ingenuity of the Roman era;. It still preserves traces of the peristilium, the viridarium, the suspensurae of a heated environment and some mosaics. Inside the Antiquarium are exposed most of the finds of the Roman era discovered both here and in neighboring countries.
Basilica of Santa Trofimena
In late eighteenth-century style, it was built on a pre-existing temple, corresponding to the current crypt. It is flanked by a quadrangular bell tower in neoclassical style. The structure is divided into three naves and houses precious paintings and sculptures, as well as an altarpiece depicting the Crucifixion of Marco Pino da Siena (sixteenth century) and the bishop's throne in marble with canopy. In an alabaster urn are preserved the remains of Santa Trofimena, a Sicilian martyr, which tradition says were found on the beach of Minori between the sixth and seventh century.
Annunziata Bell Tower

The Lemon Trail
The Lemon Path is a simple and suggestive walk that joins the villages of Minori and Maiori on the Amalfi Coast.
This path crosses gardens and lemon groves and is the way that once and still today, farmers and mules cross to transport the yellow gold of the Coast: the lemons.
You can travel in both directions, the path offers panoramic views of Maiori and Minori. A break at the belvedere of the “mortella”, the dialectal name of myrtle, very common in the area, allows to enjoy a view of Minori and to see Ravello and Amalfi in the distance.
